Rhyolite is a volcanic, igneous rock with high silica content. Its name is taken from the Greek word “rhyax,” meaning “a stream of lava.” It is chemically identical to Granite, although sometimes mistaken for Jasper. The stone's mossy greens, browns and grays are reminiscent of a rainforest. Metaphysically, Rhyolite is said to light the fire of creativity within the soul and help with self-realization.
As with all natural stones, colour and look may differ from strand to strand and even from bead to bead.
